Leadership Honors Class Campaign Project
For my typography class, I had the opportunity to work on a marketing campaign for a class at SUU, designed in collaboration with the Honors Society president and led by Dr. David Camacho, a political scientist. The course focused on modern issues in politics and leadership, emphasizing the complexities of contemporary democracy.
My design was heavily influenced by the Black Lives Matter movement and the bold, informative political posts often seen on Instagram. These posts inspired me to create a campaign that not only promoted the class but also educated the public about key political and leadership issues.
I chose a striking color palette of black, white, and red to convey a sense of urgency and power. To reflect the rebellious spirit of democracy that Dr. Camacho wanted to highlight, I used a graffiti-inspired paint typeface. This stylistic choice emphasized the dynamic and often disruptive nature of political movements, aligning with the course's focus on modern political challenges and leadership strategies.
This project allowed me to merge design and advocacy, creating materials that captured the energy and importance of engaging with leadership and politics in today’s world. Below, you can see my Poster, Flyer, Instagram Story, and Instagram Carousel Designs.
