Introducing Behind Disney With Brooklyn!
Why hello there!
My name is Brooklyn, and I’m the creator and author of Behind Disney with Brooklyn! I’m in love with ALL things Disney and Disneyland! I live in Utah, and since its fairly close to California, I got the opportunity to travel to Disneyland and California Adventure a lot throughout my life! Disneyland is really like my second home!
I’ve wanted to start this blog for a while now as a way to explore and show my favorite parts about Disney! Even Walt Disney himself said “There’s no magic in magic. It’s all in the details,” which I feel really relates to one of the things I love about Disney. I like to say that I’m a self-proclaimed expert with all things Disney, but especially the parks and the hidden details there! I recently had the opportunity to buy a Disneyland Magic Key for this year, so I can’t wait to explore Disneyland and California Adventure even more! I’m so excited to take you guys with me on my adventures to Disneyland and DCA, as well as talk about so many other magical things about Disney along the way!
Really, the idea of this blog is to connect YOU- my fellow Disney lovers- and create a conversation and discussion about these things that we all love about Disney! Of course, I’m going to include some of my personal Disney experiences, vacations, and opinions, but I would LOVE and CAN’T WAIT to hear about yours! I want this to be an open, welcoming place where we can just all celebrate and discuss this magic that has changed our lives!
The way that I’ve separated this blog site will be by different categories. Currently, I have four categories for what Disney topics I’m going to be writing about: Advice for Disney Trips, Reviews of Disney Products, Disney News, and Disney History and Facts! Over time, I hope to explore more ideas and aspects of Disney, but I think these categories will fit great for now!
Advice for Disney Trips
For my Advice for Disney Trips category, this will be an area where we can create the ultimate to-do list for Disney rides, restaurants, hotels, and more! Even if you spend a week at Disneyland, you’ll never have time to do everything. Some of the most special and unique parts of Disney aren’t well-known, so I hope to include those “secret” tips and tricks with this area! I would love to hear your experiences about your favorite “secret” places or entertainment in Disneyland, California Adventure, or at any park really!
Disney Reviews
I really want to focus on analyzing the quality my overall opinion of Disney products. This category will span from new movies, television shows, new merchandise (both official and unofficial), and more! For physical merchandise that I purchase, I want to share that sort of buying process and get suggestions about what to get! Additionally, I want to really deeply analyze and critique Disney movies and television shows. With this, I plan to dig deeper into the symbolism and meaning of aspects of the shows. This is where I want you to chime in too! I would love to make this an open discussion and analysis of these deeper meanings!
Disney News
With Disney News, there are always constant changes, updates, or renovations happening throughout the entire company! Staying updated on the most current news within Disney in order to be aware of any upcoming or potential changes! Just as an example, right now Splash Mountain at Disney World and Disneyland are closing for a new Princess and the Frog ride, Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, to be created! This is a big change, especially considering Splash Mountain is one of those classic rides with a song we can never get out of our heads! I want to keep you updated with everything new happening within the Walt Disney Company, and I plan on writing about that and having discussions with you on these changes too! Especially since some are quite controversial, making many fans either hate or love the changes.
Disney History
Lastly, for my Disney History and Facts category, I plan to talk about little known facts about Walt Disney, the parks, classic movies, and so much more. I am fascinated by the little details of Disneyland that not only Walt Disney himself, but many other people wanted to include in order to make Disney a magical experience. For example, the fact about having a basketball court in the Matterhorn is actually true! I have scoured Pinterest for years for these facts, and I’m sure there are always more! Disney Imagineers are always so detail-oriented, which makes the experience of finding those hidden details even more magical!
My hope with this blog is to share these amazing things about Disney that I’ve collected, and to meet and connect with YOU! I would absolutely love to hear from you about your favorite Disney park or land and why!
