My Connection with Disney- More About Me & My Personal Disney History!

This is a picture of little me way back in 2014 at Disneyland! I figured that I’ve talked a lot about my personal connection with Disney and the parks, but I’d rather just show you! So, on that note, this week’s blog post is getting to know a bit more about my connection with Disney! Throughout this post, I’ll show you some of my favorite photos, rides, and more!

Growing up with Disney!

While I was a kid, I used to go to Disneyland fairly frequently with my family- especially my Grandpa Scott. Grandpa Scott was a HUGE Disney Fan, and loved to go to the parks, talk with cast members, get annual passes, and more! He even told me a story about how he actually met Walt Disney one time! Because of my family and Grandpa Scott, going to Disneyland (and really anything Disney related) became nostalgic almost instantly.

Walking through the parks, I can still remember areas where our family has had unforgettable experiences and created memories! Check out my photos & experiences in the slideshow below for some unique memories and photos I have!

Indiana Jones Ride!

This ride is probably my Grandpa Scott’s favorite! My brother, dad, grandpa, and I used to go on this ride all the time! We’d go early to get fast passes specifically for this ride!

Silly Symphony Swings!

One of my favorite action shots! Shoutout to my dad for taking this photo! This ride is always fun, but especially at night!

Small World with The Fam!

This picture was taken in 2014, when my entire family and Grandpa Scott when to Disneyland the day after Christmas! It was so special!

My Family At Flower Mickey Enterance

This is my parents’ favorite spot to take photos of the whole family! I have so many photos from in front of this Flower Mickey and Disneyland Railroad!

Me & My Siblings next to Downtown Disney’s Lego Store!

My brother, Bradley, was OBSESSED with Legos! So, of course, we had to check out Downtown Disney’s Lego Store! (He also loved Oswald the Rabbit if you can’t tell from his shirt!)

My mom and I were obsessed with these Mickey Pumpkins! (Shoutout to my fedora and pink everything era)

TEA CUPS RIDE <3

The Mad Hatter’s Tea Cup Party Ride is definelty one of my family’s favorites! This photo is of “the fast team,” whereas my mom and baby sister got too motion sick to go fast!

Epcot w/ the Family!

In 2011 my Dad got to Scuba Dive in EPCOT and we all got to watch him through the glass tank! It was so cool, even though my sister was afraid of him being in the tank with sharks! :D

The Family at Hollywood Studios!

Back in 2011, I went to Disney World for the first time for Spring Break! It was so magical! (Even though my shoes were a poor choice lol)

Goin’ to Disney as a teenager!

When I was a teenager, I really started to feel that nostalgia every time that I went, since there were so many memories that I made with my family when I was little! Even in High School, my family loved to do Disney trips together! I also got to go to Disneyland for the first time with friends and go backstage with my High School Choir!

Pirates Shop!

I LOVED this Pirate Captain Hat, so instead of buying it I just took a picture!

Meeting Darth Vader!

My inner Sith was LOVING this experience! One of my favorite Star Wars characters is Anakin Skywalker, so meeting Vader was a dream! A scary dream, but still awesome!

Mickey Mouse!!!

I LOVE MICKEY! The cast members always so such a good job with the meet and greet experiences! I love Mickey in his little Christmas outfit!

Splash Mountain!

Splash Mountain is one of my family’s favorites, since there’s just enough seats for all of us to have our own log to ourselves! The number of awesome photos we have on this ride is astronomical!

Star Tours Glasses

These glasses are so freaking cool! “Thanks for flying with us at Star Tours! Ba-Bye!”

Another great Cast Member at Cafe Orléans!

While visiting Disneyland with my friends, we went to Cafe Orléans for dinner, and our waitress Monique was the sweetest Cast Member I’ve ever met! She was so nice, that we asked to take a picture with her! Definitely an MVP at Disney!

Galaxy’s Edge with Lightsabers at Night!

When Galaxy’s Edge AND the lightsaber building experience at Savi’s Workshop opened, my family just HAD to go! My siblings and I all made lightsabers, and Chewie even got after my brother for having a red lightsaber!

Splash Mountain with Friends!

When my friends and I went to Disney for our Choir Tour, we decided to leave getting wet until the end of the day! There was NO ONE in the line, so they let us just stay in the log and go over and over again through the ride! We have so many photos and did different poses each time!

Avengers Campus!

I LOVE MARVEL so I was super excited to check out DCA’s new Avengers Campus, complete with super cool Spiderman themed areas!

Hyperspace Mountain!

Hyperspace Mountain was so cool! They released the Star Wars version of Space Mountain when Galaxy’s Edge opened to celebrate! I loved this version of the ride, and I can’t wait to ride this version again!

Honoring the Stanley Statue in Cars Land!

Yet another favorite photo from Choir Tour with friends, where we wanted to take a cute photo next to Stanley- the founder of Radiator Springs!

Rainy Day at Disneyland

Even though there was SO MUCH rain this day, we still had tons of fun! Coming prepared with rain jackets, waterproof shoes, and ponchos was a MUST for this day!
